Loring Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering and director of the Virginia Tech Advanced Research Institute, National Capital Region,has been awarded the 2010 IEEE-USA Professional Achievement Award for leading the collaboration between the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) and other engineering societies to form the Technologies for Carbon Management Initiative.
